  No safe or honest dentist in my area. Long story but, in the last 2 years, I have already had 3 hellish experiences with 3 dentaquest docs. Having no insurance would be better. A few days ago, I was out of town and lost a tooth that requires the service of an oral surgeon. I have sensation and need an extraction. Have to wait 2 weeks to get in for the consult and wait up to two weeks for the extraction. I have already gone to the dentist, have a referral and x-rays but the doc's secretaries here (I called 3 different oral surgeons) all insist that nothing can be done without following their procedures, meaning determining what codes will be sent to the insurance co. etc. Not one asked if I was in pain. Does that tell you anything about the providers on your list? It should! I am a diabetic... Do I need to wait for an infection or abscess before I am taken care of?
